Thank you to the officers and committee of the Downlands SBT Club for giving me the opportunity to judge at this show. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.  My thanks also goes to all the exhibitors who brought along their dogs for my opinion, it was a privilege to have such good ones to go over.

RAMBLESTAFF COS I COULD
Black brindle with white chest and paws of 10 months old.  A beautiful head on this pup with a lovely expression and dark eyes.  He reminded me so much of one of mine.  Correct dentition housed in a strong muzzle and neat ear carriage.  Straight front and good tail carriage.   His condition was softer than 1. and he would not settle on the move, although given every opportunity.

TONPAY BARMY ARMY JW
Black brindle who was shown in rock hard condition.  This dog definitely had the best muscle tone today which won him the class with ease and RBD.  The correct front and powerful backend on this boy enabled him to move with drive when asked.  Despite being powerfully built his head is clean with a lovely expression and a strong muzzle houses large white teeth.  His ears are correctly set leading into a powerful neck.  He is certainly fit for function – well done.

CH SUURISUUN BOPPINGHAM BIRULAI
A strikingly marked pied dog that fits the standard to a “T”.  There is nothing overdone about this lad and so much to like.  Short coupled and powerful but still retaining refinement.   His head is beautiful, clean cut with a strong muzzle, correct dentition and lovely dark eyes.  Such neat feet and the required pump handle tail with both his fore and rear construction correct allowing him to move with ease and of course, he was shown in tip top condition and I was pleased to award him BD.  He was the one to beat today and for me he has still got that Stafford spark which I was looking for, hence he pipped my BB winner to BIS.

CH ARAIDH LADIES WOT LUNCH AT ROTHERSTAFF
Well Miss Bunny Brown aren’t you just in super condition for your 12˝ years young.  A black brindle bitch with the most super set of teeth for her age, she could put some youngsters to shame.  Still retaining her shape and movement and very little grey for her age.  Well done she is a credit to her owner. Black brindle bitch of 11 months old and litter sister to my BPD.  Although she stood alone in her class she was a worthy winner with everything as it should be for this age.  A beautiful classic chiselled head with piercing black eyes.  Neat ears and correct bite.  Straight front and looked good from all angles when stood.  Moved with drive holding a level topline.  Good backend and correct tail carriage.  She is stunning and I wish she were mine. CURSUS SUMMER STORM JW
I have seen this girl from the ringside and thought her a little on the small side, but it just shows how deceptive the eye can be.  This girl oozes quality and class from her beautiful head with expressive eyes and naughty expression to the tip of her pump handle tail.  She has that look of balance when viewed from all angles and she moved well holding her topline all the way.  Good front, tuckup, depth of brisket and strong rear end complete the picture.  Shown in good condition.  I was very pleased to award her BB, RBIS & BOS.
