Class 1 Veteran Dog  (1, 1 withdrawn)
1st KERRISDALE BRYN'S ALTER EGO

Black/brindle/white front approaching 8½ years.  Head of good proportions with clean muzzle, dark eyes and good ear carriage.  A strong, well-boned dog that moved out well enough, but would benefit from being fitter.

Mrs. R & Mr. D. Leadbeater
Class 2 Minor Puppy Dog (2, 1 absent)
1st DEMI BEAU

6½ months red.  Nice type of puppy at this point in time.  Good head, strong muzzle with good depth of under jaw.  Clean fronted and well balanced in body.  Unfortunately it was impossible to check his bite or go over him properly, which was a factor in the challenge for best puppy dog.

Mr. & Mrs. Lunn
2nd BOMBARDIER BROWN MAN OF WAR

6½ months mahogany brindle/white.  Same comments apply as regards being unable to assess his mouth and movement.  Strong, well-defined head, neat ears, well-boned, topline needs to settle and carrying excessive puppy fat.

Ms. K. Brown
Class 3

Puppy Dog

(3)
1st SWEET LITTLE BOY BLUE

Fawn/Blue, white front.  Standard dog of 11½ months.  Head clean and of correct proportions.  Ears a little untidy but may settle as head develops.  Dark eye, good mouth and under jaw, straight front, short-coupled, good rear quarters, very fit for age, moved well.  Best Puppy Dog and Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

Mr. & Mrs. S. C. Hopkins
2nd COACHMAN'S MIDNIGHT DREAM

9 months brindle.  Big, strong boy who made handler work hard.  Dark eyes, good mouth, neat ears, strong, well-shaped head with good length and strength of muzzle.  Preferred the more compact body shape and movement of 1st.

Mr. J. Voller
3rd KENTISH KING OF ORDANANCE Ms. L. Moaby
Class 4 Junior Dog (5, 3 absent)
1st RAMBLESTAFF FULL THROTTLE

Dark brindle of 14½ months.  Excellent head and expression complemented by correct mouth, dark eyes and neat ears.  A dog of the clean lines and balance I was looking for and who featured in the challenge for Reserve Best Dog.

Ms. N. Booth & Mr. P. Grimwood
2nd ROTHERSTAFF KING CREOLE

Black/brindle/white front of almost 14 months.  Head well-defined with neat ears, giving alert expression.  Straight, well-boned front with plenty of 'lift'.  Body balanced with well angulated rear quarters.  An impressive dog with plenty of ring presence.  Just preferred the expression and lighter build of 1st.

Mr. J. & Mrs. V. A. Brown

Brindle with white front of 5½ years.  Clean headed, ears a little flighty.  Excellent strength of muzzle, good under jaw and large canines.  A balanced dog with clean, straight front who moved out well enough.  Would benefit from being a shade fitter.

A. G. Boyd
2nd KERRISDALE IRON DRAGON

Black/white pied - 3½ years.  Very standard with attractive markings.  Head of good proportions, straight front, level topline, well boned.  Would have preferred a shade more 'lift' for better overall balance.

Mr. P. Gatenby
Class 7 Post Graduate Dog (5, 1 absent)
1st PRIDE OF TIME

Red approaching 4 years.  A very sound, standard dog who is well boned and in very fit condition, which is a credit to his owners.  Strong headed with correct dentition and neat ear carriage.  Sound rear quarters, and good top line held on the move.  One of the best movers of the day.

Mr. & Mrs. S. C. Hopkins
2nd RAMBLESTAFF JACKHAMMER J.W.

Black/Brindle with white front.  Clean headed with good expression, dark eye and good bite.  This dog had the required 'lift', but I just preferred the rear angulation and movement of 1st.

Black brindle of 2½ years.  Head clean, well defined, of good strength but still in proportion with body.  Dark eyes, tidy ears, correct bite and strong clean muzzle.  movement fluid and demonstrating required drive.  Overall a well balanced dog in lovely fit condition, who possessed the athleticism and clean lines I was looking for.  BEST DOG and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW - CONGRATULATIONS.

Mr. & Mrs. Edwards
2nd MOSSTAFF KING LOUIE Mrs. A. & Mrs. S. Baxter
3rd DAZZLING WHITE LAD BY GULARRENS

Brindle/white pied.  A standard dog of many virtues - stronger than 1st and not quite so athletic.  However, excellent head with dark eye and no excess flesh.  Straight, well-boned front, balanced in body with sound, well-muscled rear quarters.  Another dog in superb condition who moved well.

J. Barren & J. Guiver
Reserve HERODOTUS PIED PIPER Mr. M. Hornsby
Class 9 Open Dog (4, 1 absent)
1st VEKLORRA ON A HY J.W.

Brindle.  A dog that is not overdone in any way and who possesses the cleanest of outlines.  Head in proportion with body and has the correct expression, having dark eyes, neat ears and decent length of muzzle.  Fits the Standard like a glove as regards the height/weight clause.  At 6½ not quite the dog he was, and today had to give way to one that is in his prime.  RESERVE BEST DOG - WELL DONE.

Ms. L. Brown & Mr. K. Harper
2nd RAMBLESTAFF KNIFEDGE J.W.

Brindle - another nice type of dog who is bigger all round than 1st.  Strong, well-proportioned head with broad skull, good stop, dark round eye and neat ear carriage.  Just preferred the cleaner lines of 1st.

Ms. N. Booth & Mr. P. Grimwood
3rd WINZACK LET'S GET IT ON Mr. & Mrs. A. P. Land
Class 10 Veteran Bitch (7, 4 absent)

Another strong head in an 11 year old bitch.  Liked her ear set and strength of forequarters but she was weaker in the pasterns than winner.

3rd BARBARY POWDER MONKEY M. J. & P. Burton
Class 11 Minor Puppy Bitch (7, 5 absent)
1st TORNADOSTORM SOUTH N BELLE

Close decision.  I liked the balance of this one and her length of leg.  Her loin was impressive and the top line good but the head needs to develop.  Moved the better.  Best Minor Puppy.

Mr. P. Caetano
2nd CROSSGUNS GIRL FRIDAY

This pup had the better head with great expression, clean lines and ear set.  Top line was good and good rear angulation.  Preferred winner's overall balance and movement.

Miss N. Grant
Class 12 Puppy Bitch (6, 3 absent)
1st FARRIERS VELVET MAIDEN

Another close decision.  Good head and expression with breadth of skull and strength in jaw.  Ears not perfect.  Liked the length of leg on this one and there is plenty of bone.  Great hocks and good top line.  Went on to Best Puppy In Show.

C. &. E. Bruton
2nd FERRYMANS VELVET DUTCHESS

Another good head, forequarters well made and an excellent coat and condition.  Another well-angulated bitch but sadly she did not look so good on the move.

2nd STORMPIKE COMBAT AND JOY

Too much leg for me but well made all round and tight feet and movement very good.
