Members Trophies

There are three trophies which are available to members only. Scores are compiled by the Trophy Secretary each year to determine the winners of:
THE PERLEEN SHIELD	for the dog or bitch gaining the most points at the club's shows over the course of the calendar year.
THE OAKSHIRE SALVER	for the bitch gaining the most points at the club's shows over the course of the calendar year.
THE LARRY CUP	for the puppy gaining the most points at the club's shows over the course of the calendar year.
The points awarded are based solely on the placings achieved in the classes entered, i.e. there are NO extra points for any other awards, such as Best in Show, Best Opposite Sex or Best Puppy. To qualify for points the owner(s) must be fully paid up and approved members on the day of the show and in the case of a partnership all partners must be fully paid up members of the club.

Single £4.00

Joint (two members only) £6.00

Renewals fall due on the first of January each year, irrespective of the time of year at which the member(s) joined. The only exception to this is those members exempt under rule 9, i.e., those that have only joined after October 1st in the year immediately preceding. Any membership queries to:

Data Protection Act, 1984

The Downlands Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club holds its membership information on a computer database file, stored on a computer hard disc, inaccessible from any computer network or the internet. This database holds the name, address, telephone number and details of subscriptions paid for each member of the club. It is used purely to create labels for letters, schedules and newsletters and in the routine administration of the club membership. It is also used to create lists for the Kennel Club - this is a mandatory requirement for all Breed Clubs affiliated to the Kennel Club and so would happen whether computerised or not. There is no intention of releasing this list to any individual or organisation (other than as stated above) and all reasonable precautions are taken to prevent access by third parties. The Computer system requires a password to be entered to gain access and this password is known only to the Membership Secretary.
